Sustainability

Transferprinting is one of the most sustainable ways to print fabric. The process uses nearly no water and requires no post-treatment of the fabrics after printing. It’s main waste product (the used print paper) can be reused as packaging or cover paper before being recycled. Smaller quantities of paper waste can be recycled by the paper industry straight away.

The inks we use are all water soluble to further minimize the impact we have on our environment. And fabric wastes are minimal due to the inspection of the paper before print. Printing on recycled polyesters is no problem.

Especially important in this respect is digital printing. This process uses no gas dryers thereby reducing carbon emissions. Also there are no left-over dyes after a print run and paper waste during changeovers can be reduced to zero. Last but not least this process requires no cleaning of screens so virtually no water is used during the production.
